Vidu, Pour et contre
Avantages
- Multi-reference consistency (up to 7 images) is a genuine differentiator for keeping a character or product consistent across a clip
- Low entry price: paid plans start around $10/month (or $8/month billed yearly), well below most Western video models
- Generous free tier with unlimited off-peak generation, plus fast and ultra-fast channels on higher plans
- Commercial use allowed on all paid plans, with 1080p output and up to 4K on the top tier
Inconvénients
- Poor Trustpilot sentiment (2.1/5 across 18 reviews), with recurring reports of sudden account blacklisting, unresponsive support and refund difficulties
- Clips are short (3-16 seconds), so longer sequences require stitching several generations together
- Annual plans auto-renew and multiple reviewers report refunds being hard to obtain, so treat the yearly commitment carefully
- No public affiliate program identified, and the credit system can get expensive at high volume despite the low entry price
